In 2016, the Arkansas Department of Education enacted rules requiring all school districts to screen students in kindergarten through second grade to identify those who exhibit characteristics of dyslexia. Each school district is required to report the number of students screened for dyslexia and those requiring a comprehensive dyslexia evaluation. The dyslexia program administered by IACS is described below.
