School Improvement Status

Beginning with the 2012-13 school year, Arkansas received a waiver from No Child Left Behind goal of 100% proficiency.  The goal under the new flexibility will be to reduce proficiency gaps by half by 2017.  “Adequate Yearly Progress”  has been replaced by performance, growth, and graduation rates “Annual Measurable Objective (AMOs) along with enhanced focus on subgroups through the Targeted Achievement Gap Group (TAGG) wich includes economically disadvantaged students, English language learners, and students with disabilities.
